HARRY J. GAFFNEY, ESQ., is a senior associate in the Real Estate Practice Group at Simon, Eisenberg & Baum, LLP. Prior to joining Simon, Eisenberg & Baum, LLP, Mr. Gaffney was a senior associate at the firm of Hanley & Goble, LLP. Prior to his employment at Hanley & Goble, LLP, Mr. Gaffney was general counsel to the New York City Loft Board. Mr. Gaffney has extensive experience in all aspects of real estate transactions. He represents clients in the purchase, sale and financing of buildings, houses, condominium and cooperative apartments. Mr. Gaffney represents boards of directors of cooperative housing corporations and boards of managers of condominium associations. He prepares offering plans for the sale of condominium and cooperative apartments and prepares applications seeking issuance of "No-Action" letters from the Office of the Attorney General of the State of New York. Mr. Gaffney represents landlords and tenants in commercial leasing transactions. He also specializes in representation of landlords and tenants in issues regarding the Loft Law. Mr. Gaffney received his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School in 1986 and his B.S. in Russian language and literature from Georgetown University in 1977.
